In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize high-voltage power systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance with international standards. With a competitive salary range of $4,500 – $5,500 per month, this full-time position offers a structured workweek (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, with half-day Saturdays) and the chance to contribute to transformative projects in a tropical paradise.
Responsibility
- Design, analyze, and optimize high-voltage power systems, including transformers, switchgear, and gensets, for industrial and utility applications.
- Develop technical specifications, schematics, and layouts for electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with IEC, IEEE, and local regulations.
- Conduct load flow studies, short-circuit analysis, and arc flash hazard assessments to ensure system safety and reliability.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of high-voltage equipment, collaborating with contractors and vendors.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues, providing root-cause analysis and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and cost estimates for clients and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in smart grids, renewable energy integration, and digital substations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; PE (Professional Engineer) certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in high-voltage power systems, with expertise in transformers, gensets, and switchgear.
- Proficiency in ETAP, PSS®E, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory for system modeling and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of IEC 61850, NFPA 70E, and other relevant standards for high-voltage applications.
- Experience with project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk assessment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous but not required.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia and adapt to a multicultural work environment.
