Responsibility
- Lead the design and engineering of high-voltage transmission and distribution systems, ensuring compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI).
- Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and protection coordination studies for substations and grid networks.
- Conduct load flow, short-circuit, and arc flash analyses using software like ETAP, PSS®E, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and regulatory bodies to secure approvals and align designs with local and global codes.
- Oversee technical specifications, tender documents, and vendor evaluations for electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, cables).
- Provide expert guidance on renewable energy integration, smart grid technologies, and system reliability improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews to ensure project deliverables meet quality and safety benchmarks.
- Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems during project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems, High Voltage, or related specialization).
- 8+ years of experience in electrical design for T&D projects, preferably in the APAC region.
- Proficiency in power system analysis tools (ETAP, PSS®E, DIgSILENT, or similar) and CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong knowledge of international standards (IEC 61850, IEEE 80, ANSI C37) and local regulations.
- Proven track record in substation design, grid interconnection, and protection relaying.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills in a multicultural environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or chartered status is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional APAC languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin) are advantageous.
