Responsibility
- Oversee and manage all 33KV electrical operations, including switchgear, transformers, and distribution systems, ensuring compliance with local and international standards (e.g., PUSB, IEC).
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on high-voltage equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan.
- Lead fault diagnosis and emergency repairs for electrical failures, coordinating with cross-functional teams to restore operations swiftly.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including LOTO (Lockout-Tagout), PPE compliance, and arc flash mitigation, to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
- Supervise and mentor junior technicians and electricians, providing technical guidance and training on high-voltage systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize electrical efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
- Maintain accurate documentation of electrical schematics, test reports, and maintenance logs for audit and regulatory purposes.
- Stay updated on industry advancements in high-voltage technology and recommend upgrades to improve system reliability.
Qualifications
- Certified Chargeman B4 (33KV) license from a recognized authority (e.g., ST, TNB, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in high-voltage electrical systems, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- In-depth knowledge of 33KV switchgear, transformers, relays, and protection systems (e.g., ABB, Siemens, Schneider).
- Proficient in using electrical testing tools (e.g., megohmmeter, insulation tester, power quality analyzers).
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards (NFPA 70E, OSHA, or local equivalents).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and PLC schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills with a track record of managing teams in high-pressure environments.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) for technical reporting and cross-departmental communication.
