Responsibility
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for construction and fit-out projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.
- Develop and maintain detailed bills of quantities (BOQ) and tender documents for client submissions.
- Conduct site visits and feasibility studies to assess project requirements and constraints.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to align project specifications with budgetary goals.
- Monitor project expenditures and track costs against budgets, providing regular financial reports to stakeholders.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project integrity.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in all estimations and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on construction fit-out projects.
- Proficient in cost estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar) and MS Excel for financial modeling.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Familiarity with local and international construction regulations (preferably in the Philippines or Indonesia).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and team members.
