Responsibility
- Conduct in-depth macroeconomic research and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities affecting global financial markets.
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast economic indicators, asset valuations, and investment performance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for the Group CEO/Fund Manager, translating complex economic data into clear, actionable insights.
- Monitor and evaluate fiscal and monetary policies, geopolitical developments, and market dynamics to inform investment strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including portfolio managers, analysts, and external stakeholders, to align economic insights with business objectives.
- Stay abreast of emerging economic theories, tools, and technologies to enhance analytical capabilities and drive innovation.
- Provide thought leadership on economic issues, contributing to white papers, industry publications, and internal knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Support ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives as required by senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Economics, Finance, or a related field from a reputable institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in economic research, financial analysis, or a related role within the banking, fund management, or financial services sector.
- Strong proficiency in econometric modeling, statistical analysis, and financial forecasting tools (e.g., EViews, Stata, R, Python, or Bloomberg Terminal).
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of developing economic models and reports that influence business decisions.
- Deep understanding of global macroeconomic trends, monetary policy, and financial markets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment while maintaining high levels of productivity and collaboration.
