As a Senior Drafter, you will play a pivotal role in translating engineering designs into precise technical drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company specifications. Responsibility
- Lead the creation and revision of technical drawings for fibreglass manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Mentor and train junior drafters, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Review and approve drafts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specifications.
- Utilize CAD software to develop detailed 2D and 3D models for production.
- Coordinate with production teams to resolve design-related issues and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drafting techniques, tools, and industry best practices.
- Participate in project meetings to provide technical insights and support decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical drafting, preferably in manufacturing or engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other drafting tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex technical drawings.
- Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring or training junior staff.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of fibreglass materials and manufacturing techniques is a plus.
