Responsibility
- Lead the design and development of aerospace components, systems, and subsystems from concept to production.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, testing, and quality assurance, to deliver high-performance solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and design reviews to validate technical approaches.
- Utilize advanced CAD/CAE tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS) to create and optimize 3D models and simulations.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing design performance, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing innovative solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Stay abreast of emerging aerospace technologies and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Masterâs degree preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in aerospace component design, with a focus on mechanical or electromechanical systems.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE software (e.g., CATIA V5, NX, SolidWorks) and FEA/CFD analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes (e.g., additive manufacturing, CNC machining), and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Experience with DO-160, MIL-STD, or FAA/EASA certification processes is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
- Proven project management abilities, including experience leading design teams and managing timelines.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
