Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain high-performance SQL Server databases and data platforms.
- Ensure database reliability, availability, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing strategies.
- Collaborate with development teams to design scalable and efficient database schemas.
- Automate database deployment, backup, and maintenance processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production environments.
- Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or Data Platform Engineer.
- Strong expertise in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with database clustering, replication, and high-availability solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
