Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to process large datasets efficiently.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to build data models and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Optimize data warehouse performance (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) for faster query execution.
- Implement data governance and security best practices to ensure compliance with global standards.
- Automate data workflows using Apache Airflow, Luigi, or similar tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline failures, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to deploy and manage serverless data solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices in data engineering.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building scalable data pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark for data processing and transformation.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Kafka).
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and ETL/ELT tools (e.g., dbt, Talend).
- Experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow, Luigi, Prefect) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
