Responsibility
- Develop and enforce security policies, protocols, and procedures to protect organizational assets.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate risks.
- Monitor security systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls) and respond to incidents in real-time.
- Implement encryption, access controls, and multi-factor authentication solutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into infrastructure and applications.
- Stay ahead of emerging cyber threats and recommend proactive countermeasures.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and other relevant standards.
- Provide security awareness training for employees and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Masterâs preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles (e.g., SOC Analyst, Security Engineer).
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), EDR/XDR, and network security.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevSecOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a security-first mindset.
- Fluency in English; ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
