Responsibility
- Design, install, configure, and commission network infrastructure, including routers, switches, Wi-Fi systems, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement and maintain network security protocols, including VPNs, access controls, and intrusion prevention systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Conduct regular network audits, capacity planning, and upgrades to support business growth.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and IT staff.
- Document network configurations, policies, and procedures for compliance and reference.
- Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with expertise in Cisco, Juniper, or similar technologies.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and switching technologies (VLAN, STP, QoS).
- Experience with network security, including firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto), IDS/IPS, and encryption standards.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot enterprise-level networks in a high-availability environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
