Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain advanced security architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection solutions.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Monitor security systems and networks for irregular activities, investigating and responding to incidents in accordance with established protocols.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps processes.
- Lead incident response efforts, including forensic analysis, containment, and recovery, while documenting findings for continuous improvement.
- Stay ahead of emerging cyber threats and technologies by conducting research and participating in industry forums.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees to foster a culture of cybersecurity vigilance.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on network security, endpoint protection, or threat intelligence.
- Proven expertise in security tools such as SIEM (e.g., Splunk, ELK), EDR/XDR solutions, and vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS).
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., Zero Trust, MITRE ATT&CK) and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA).
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for security-related tasks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security gaps.
