Responsibility
- Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive Credit and Political Risk Insurance (CPRI) business strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate creditworthiness, political stability, and country risks for corporate and sovereign clients using advanced financial models and geopolitical analysis.
- Underwriting & Pricing: Structure and price complex CPRI policies, ensuring alignment with MSIG’s risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and client needs.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, multinational corporations, and government entities to identify opportunities and deliver tailored insurance solutions.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage a diverse portfolio of CPRI policies, conducting regular reviews to mitigate exposure and optimize performance.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of global economic, political, and industry trends to anticipate risks and inform underwriting decisions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with legal, compliance, and claims teams to ensure seamless policy issuance and dispute resolution.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare detailed underwriting reports, risk assessments, and regulatory filings in accordance with MSIG and local authority standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM, or ACII) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 7+ years in credit risk, political risk underwriting, or trade finance, with a proven track record in emerging markets.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, risk assessment tools, and underwriting software. Familiarity with IFRS, Basel III, and Solvency II frameworks is advantageous.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of political risk, sovereign debt, trade credit, and investment insurance products.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and geopolitical data.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is a significant advantage.
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities in a multicultural environment.
- Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of Indonesian insurance regulations and international underwriting standards.
