Responsibility
- Lead cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis for electrical engineering projects.
- Develop and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, project management) to align cost structures with project goals.
- Conduct market research to benchmark material, labor, and overhead costs against industry standards.
- Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for senior management.
- Identify risks in cost projections and propose mitigation strategies.
- Support tendering processes by evaluating bids and negotiating with suppliers/vendors.
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and engineering standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in cost engineering, preferably in electrical projects.
- Proficient in cost estimation software (e.g., Primavera, Cleopatra) and MS Excel (advanced modeling).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and technical data.
- Experience with procurement, contract management, and vendor negotiations.
- Familiarity with international engineering standards (IEC, NEC, etc.) and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with minimal supervision.
