This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in credit analysis, risk assessment, and strategic decision-making for corporate clients across Southeast Asia’s growing markets.

In this high-impact role, you will evaluate creditworthiness, identify potential risks, and provide actionable insights to support lending decisions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to credit committee discussions, and conduct in-depth industry and market research—with a special focus on trade finance and commodity sectors. Your expertise will directly influence the bank’s risk exposure and portfolio health in a region known for its rapid economic growth.

Bank of China offers a competitive compensation package, professional development opportunities, and the chance to work in a culturally rich and strategically important location. Whether you’re based in Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, or Badung, you’ll be part of a global financial institution with a strong local presence.

Responsibility

  • Conduct comprehensive financial statement analysis and credit risk assessments for corporate clients, including multinational corporations and local enterprises.
  • Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations for senior management and credit committees, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends, economic conditions, and market risks to proactively identify potential credit exposures.
  • Support the structuring and negotiation of credit facilities, including loans, trade finance, and commodity-backed financing.
  • Collaborate with relationship managers to assess client needs and develop tailored risk mitigation strategies.
  • Perform stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate portfolio resilience under varying economic conditions.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes (e.g., Basel III, local banking laws) and ensure adherence in all credit evaluations.
  • Contribute to industry research and thought leadership on emerging risks in trade, commodities, and corporate lending.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business; a Master’s degree or CFA/FRM certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate credit analysis, risk management, or commercial banking, preferably in an international bank.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, ratio analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Experience with trade finance, commodity financing, or structured credit products is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg, Moody’s RiskAnalyst, or similar credit risk tools.
  • Excellent analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Indonesian is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with a strong attention to detail.
