Responsibility
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the country’s business strategy to achieve revenue, growth, and market share targets in the fintech lending and BNPL sectors.
- Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including partnerships with merchants, banks, and digital platforms.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to Indonesian financial regulations, licensing requirements, and data protection laws.
- Team Building: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing local team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Stakeholder Management: Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, investors, and industry leaders.
- Product Localization: Adapt fintech products (e.g., BNPL, microloans) to meet the unique needs of the Indonesian market.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor KPIs, financial metrics, and customer feedback to optimize operations and drive profitability.
- Brand Representation: Act as the public face of the company in Indonesia, representing the brand at conferences, media events, and industry forums.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: Minimum 8+ years in fintech, banking, or financial services, with at least 3 years in a Country Manager, GM, or Director role.
- Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of lending, BNPL, digital payments, or consumer finance in Southeast Asia (Indonesia experience is a plus).
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to build and scale teams in a high-growth, startup-like environment.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Indonesian financial regulations (OJK, BI) and compliance frameworks.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong P&L management, business development, and partnership negotiation skills.
- Tech-Savviness: Comfort with fintech platforms, data analytics tools, and digital transformation strategies.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (required); proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly advantageous.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
