Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end management of construction contracts, from tender evaluation to final account settlement, ensuring compliance with legal and commercial requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks associated with construction projects, including contractual disputes, delays, and cost overruns.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement cost-control strategies, optimizing project profitability without compromising quality or timelines.
- Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and execution of contract amendments, variations, and claims, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Monitor project progress and financial performance, providing regular reports to senior management on contract status, risks, and opportunities.
- Liaise with legal advisors, subcontractors, and clients to resolve disputes and ensure smooth project delivery.
- Develop and maintain standardized contract templates, clauses, and best practices to streamline future projects.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members on contract administration and commercial risk management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., RICS, CIArb) are a plus.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in contracts management within the construction industry, with a focus on commercial risk and claims.
- Proven expertise in contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and cost control for large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian construction laws, FIDIC contracts, and international best practices in contract administration.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex contractual terms and financial data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
- Experience working in Bali or Southeast Asia is highly desirable, with familiarity in local market dynamics.
