Responsibility
- Manage and oversee project cost accounting for civil construction initiatives, ensuring accurate tracking of expenses, budgets, and financial performance.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports tailored to construction projects, including WIP (Work in Progress) schedules.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop cost forecasts, variance analyses, and financial strategies to optimize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and tax regulations relevant to construction.
- Process and reconcile subcontractor payments, vendor invoices, and payroll for construction teams.
- Conduct audit support by maintaining organized financial records and documentation for internal/external reviews.
- Implement and improve financial controls and processes to mitigate risks in construction accounting.
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior management to aid in decision-making for project bidding and resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction accounting, with a focus on civil projects.
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and construction-specific software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint).
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, job costing, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with tax compliance and reporting for construction firms in Indonesia or Southeast Asia.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous.
