Responsibility
- Design, simulate, and optimize analog and mixed-signal circuits (e.g., PLLs, ADCs, DACs, bias circuits, and power management ICs) for high-performance applications.
- Collaborate with digital design teams to integrate analog blocks into SoC architectures, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
- Develop and validate circuit specifications, including noise, linearity, power consumption, and area constraints.
- Perform transistor-level simulations (SPICE, Spectre) and layout-aware design to meet tape-out requirements.
- Work closely with layout engineers to ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturing) compliance and optimize for yield and reliability.
- Conduct silicon validation and debugging of prototype chips, analyzing test data to refine designs.
- Stay abreast of industry trends in semiconductor process nodes (e.g., FinFET, advanced CMOS) and emerging circuit design techniques.
- Document design methodologies, test plans, and technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field; PhD is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design, with a proven track record of tape-outs in 28nm or below process nodes.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, and MATLAB for circuit design and simulation.
- Deep understanding of CMOS analog design, including op-amps, comparators, and data converters.
- Experience with layout design and verification (LVS, DRC, ERC) and familiarity with EM/IR analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex circuit issues at the silicon level.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with global teams and present technical concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with AI/ML accelerators, cryptographic hardware, or high-speed interfaces (e.g., SerDes) is highly desirable.
