As a Senior Care Associate, you will assist with daily activities, foster social engagement, and ensure the well-being of our senior participants. Responsibility
- Assist senior participants with daily living activities, including mobility support, meal assistance, and personal hygiene.
- Organize and lead engaging group activities such as arts and crafts, light exercises, and social games to promote mental and physical well-being.
- Monitor and report any changes in participants’ health, behavior, or emotional state to the care team.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in the day care facility.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans for participants.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including attendance records and activity documentation.
- Uphold NTUC Health’s standards of dignity, respect, and professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; certifications in elderly care (e.g., CPR, First Aid) are a plus.
- Previous experience in caregiving, nursing, or senior support is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate warmly and effectively with seniors and their families.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of elderly individuals.
- Physical ability to assist with mobility and lift light weights (up to 10-15 kg) if necessary.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety protocols in senior care settings.
- Willingness to work flexible part-time hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other local languages is advantageous.
