Responsibility
- Lead the procurement of consumables, raw materials, and capital equipment, ensuring cost-effective and timely sourcing to support manufacturing operations.
- Manage and maintain the Oracle purchasing and receiving system, including vendor setup, part entry, and system enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize supplier selection, reduce costs, and improve supply chain resilience.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and finance, to align procurement strategies with business goals.
- Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular reviews, and address any issues to ensure consistent delivery and quality.
- Analyze market trends, demand forecasts, and inventory levels to make data-driven procurement decisions.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including lead time variability, quality issues, and geopolitical factors.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership position.
- Proven experience with Oracle or other ERP purchasing systems, including vendor management and part entry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable contracts and pricing agreements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Experience in manufacturing or high-tech industries, with knowledge of raw material and consumable procurement.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with cross-functional teams.
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a strong advantage.
