Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms and long-term partnerships.
- Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and vendor selection to contract management and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, manage inventory, and ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical procurement practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement specialists to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, budgets, and key performance indicators to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a similar role, preferably in the petroleum or energy sector.
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in procurement.
