Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and review of mechanical systems for Waste-to-Energy (WtE) buildings, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and utility systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architects, electrical engineers, and environmental specialists) to integrate mechanical systems into overall building designs.
- Ensure compliance with local and international codes (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO) and sustainability standards (LEED, Green Building certifications).
- Conduct feasibility studies, energy modeling, and performance simulations to optimize system efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents for mechanical installations.
- Oversee the procurement, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and draftsmen.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to address technical queries and obtain necessary approvals.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Masterâs degree or professional certification (e.g., PE, PMP) is a plus.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in mechanical system design for commercial, industrial, or WtE facilities.
- Proven expertise in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and utility systems for large-scale buildings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and BIM software; familiarity with energy modeling tools (e.g., EnergyPlus, IES VE) is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of international engineering standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO) and sustainability frameworks (LEED, Green Mark).
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Indonesian or Japanese is a bonus.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia and travel occasionally for site visits or client meetings.
