Responsibility
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and signature drinks, adhering to company standards and hygiene protocols.
- Train and mentor junior baristas, ensuring consistent quality and service excellence across the team.
- Engage with customers to understand preferences, recommend menu items, and promote seasonal specials or loyalty programs.
- Manage inventory, including stock levels of beans, syrups, and equipment, and place orders as needed to avoid shortages.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment, performing basic troubleshooting and coordinating repairs when necessary.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and reconcile daily sales reports with accuracy.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items, improve workflows, and enhance the customer experience.
- Uphold a clean, organized, and inviting café environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a barista, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead role.
- Certification in barista training (e.g., SCA or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and latte art techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and maintain composure during peak hours.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the café’s operating hours.
