Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain automated deployment pipelines for our enterprise Linux platform using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet
- Develop and enforce security best practices, including vulnerability management, patch automation, and compliance monitoring (PCI-DSS, SOC2)
- Optimize system performance through monitoring, capacity planning, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) methodologies
- Lead incident response and post-mortem analysis to continuously improve system reliability and reduce MTTR
- Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD workflows and containerization strategies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions on automation best practices
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance platform scalability and efficiency
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Linux System Engineer or DevOps Engineer with a focus on automation
- Expertise in configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or SaltStack) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Go) for automation and tooling development
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions)
- Deep understanding of Linux system internals (kernel tuning, networking, storage)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) technologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a global, distributed team environment
- Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are a plus
