Responsibility
- Design, develop, and deploy PLC-based control systems for industrial automation, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEC 61131-3).
- Program, test, and troubleshoot robotic systems (e.g., ABB, KUKA, or Fanuc) to enhance production line efficiency and precision.
- Integrate IoT devices and sensors into existing manufacturing systems to enable real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance.
- Lead the digitalization of factory processes, including data acquisition, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and SCADA implementations.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration and interoperability.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits for automated systems to ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
- Optimize automation workflows to reduce downtime, improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and minimize operational costs.
- Provide technical training and support to operational staff on new automation technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, with a focus on PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Schneider) and robotic systems.
- Proficiency in ladder logic (LAD), structured text (ST), and function block diagrams (FBD) for PLC development.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA systems (e.g., WinCC, Ignition, or FactoryTalk) and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, OPC UA).
- Strong knowledge of IoT platforms (e.g., AWS IoT, Siemens MindSphere) and data analytics tools for industrial applications.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools for automation design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Certifications in PLC, robotics, or industrial automation (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, ABB Robotics) are a plus.
