Join a dynamic engineering team in Bali as a Senior Automation Engineer, specializing in industrial control systems. This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge automation solutions for complex engineering systems in one of Indonesia’s most vibrant regions.
As an Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in programming Direct Digital Control (DDC), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) based on detailed point lists. Your expertise will ensure seamless monitoring, commissioning, and optimization of engineering systems, while maintaining comprehensive documentation and reporting to support operational excellence.
Based in Bali’s tech and industrial hubs—including Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, or Badung—you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact automation projects that drive efficiency, reliability, and innovation.
Responsibility
- Develop, program, and configure PLC, HMI, and DDC systems based on technical specifications and point lists.
- Design and implement automation solutions to enhance system performance, efficiency, and scalability.
- Monitor, test, and commission engineering systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in automation systems, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system diagrams, user manuals, and operational reports.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams to integrate automation solutions seamlessly.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in industrial automation, including IoT, Industry 4.0, and smart manufacturing technologies.
- Provide training and support to end-users and maintenance teams on system operation and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, with expertise in PLC (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider), HMI (SCADA, WinCC, Ignition), and DDC systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, or Function Block Diagram (FBD).
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA).
- Experience with system commissioning, testing, and validation in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced projects.
- Familiarity with ISO, IEC, or NEMA standards for industrial automation is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to create clear technical documentation and reports.
