Responsibility
- Design and develop custom automation solutions (mechanical, electrical, and software) to support NPI and production scaling.
- Lead feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for automation projects, aligning with business objectives.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to identify automation opportunities and pain points.
- Program and integrate PLCs, HMIs, robots (e.g., ABB, Fanuc), and vision systems for high-precision applications.
- Oversee testing, validation, and deployment of automation systems, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards (e.g., ISO, CE).
- Optimize existing automation processes to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and reduce cycle times.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and user manuals.
- Stay ahead of emerging automation technologies (e.g., AI, IoT, Industry 4.0) and recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Robotics.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automation design, preferably in manufacturing or electronics industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, LabVIEW).
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus).
- Strong knowledge of robotics, servo systems, and motion control.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex automation systems.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian) are a plus.
