Responsibility
- Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and repair of advanced medical equipment, including imaging systems, life-support devices, and diagnostic tools.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess equipment needs and implement technological solutions that enhance patient care.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols for medical equipment to ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, FDA).
- Conduct regular inspections and performance tests on biomedical devices to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Provide technical training and support to clinical staff on the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Evaluate and recommend new biomedical technologies to improve hospital operations and patient outcomes.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance reports for audit and compliance purposes.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to integrate emerging technologies into existing healthcare systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in biomedical engineering, medical equipment maintenance, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing medical devices, including imaging systems (MRI, CT, X-ray), ventilators, and patient monitors.
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 60601, FDA guidelines).
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment lifecycle management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Certification in biomedical equipment technology (e.g., CBET) is highly desirable.
