Responsibility
- Develop, configure, and optimize optical inspection and metrology systems for manufacturing applications.
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to integrate machine vision and laser-based measurement solutions into production lines.
- Conduct precision measurements, calibration, and validation of components using advanced metrology tools (e.g., CMM, interferometers, profilometers).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to inspection systems, sensors, and software to minimize downtime.
- Design and implement automated quality control processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in manufacturing.
- Provide technical training and support to production staff on the use of metrology equipment and software.
- Analyze inspection data to identify trends, recommend process improvements, and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME).
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in optical metrology and industrial automation to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in metrology, optical inspection, or machine vision systems within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with CMM, laser scanners, interferometers, or 3D optical profilers.
- Proficiency in metrology software (e.g., PolyWorks, Geomagic, HALCON, or LabVIEW).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and international quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural team.
- Familiarity with automation, robotics, or Industry 4.0 technologies is a plus.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous.
