Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native platforms (AWS, Databricks, or similar) to support AI/ML workloads, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to architect infrastructure for model training, deployment, and monitoring, bridging the gap between research and production.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to streamline development workflows and reduce time-to-market for AI solutions.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization, including GPU/TPU clusters, storage, and networking, to balance performance and cost efficiency.
- Develop and enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve reliability, scalability, and latency.
- Mentor junior developers and engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in AI/ML infrastructure, cloud computing, and DevOps, and evaluate new tools/technologies to enhance our platform.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years specializing in cloud-native AI/ML platform development (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java; experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, SageMaker, EKS) or Databricks for AI/ML workloads.
- AI/ML Knowledge: Understanding of ML model training, deployment, and serving (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLflow) is a plus.
- DevOps & Automation: Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana), and logging (ELK Stack).
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a passion for optimizing complex systems.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (Data Science, Product, Security).
- Education: Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
