Responsibility
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations with meticulous attention to detail.
- Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide support during audits, including preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to their professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with month-end close processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality in financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
