As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic financial decisions for our Australian clients. Responsibility

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close processes for Australian clients.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), and timely reporting.
  • Lead tax compliance activities, including BAS, GST, and payroll tax lodgments, while staying updated on regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes, improve internal controls, and enhance efficiency.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Conduct financial audits and reconcile complex accounts, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and clients to ensure seamless communication and resolution of financial queries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA (Australia) or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role handling Australian clients.
  • Proficient in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems; experience with Australian payroll software is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of AASB, IFRS, and Australian tax laws, including GST and BAS requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of managing teams and improving financial processes.
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) is mandatory; familiarity with Filipino or Indonesian languages is a bonus.
