Responsibility
- Oversee and manage the full spectrum of accounting operations for entities across the APJ region, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to stakeholders.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and financial analysis.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting for multiple jurisdictions.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets and ensure operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business planning and decision-making.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to streamline processes and enhance financial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or managerial role.
- Proven experience in managing accounting operations for multiple countries, preferably within the APJ region.
- Strong knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations across various jurisdictions.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and developing accounting teams.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese) are a plus.
