Responsibility
- Assist the Financial Officer in managing and overseeing financial operations onboard the vessel.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, international financial regulations, and maritime financial standards.
- Prepare and submit financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to senior management.
- Conduct regular financial audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial processes are integrated and streamlined.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, expenditures, and financial risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial management and reporting.
- Experience in the maritime or logistics industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
