Responsibility
- Lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with department heads to create and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
- Conduct financial audits and reconcile discrepancies to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
- Oversee tax planning, filings, and compliance with local and international tax regulations.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff to enhance team performance and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) are a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership position.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations in Malaysia and/or Indonesia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of managing and developing teams.
- High attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
