Responsibility
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of HV and MV protection systems projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI).
- Oversee protection scheme development, including relay coordination, fault analysis, and system modeling using tools like ETAP or PSCAD.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to client specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to integrate protection systems with substations, switchgear, and control systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies for protection system failures, ensuring grid stability and safety.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and field technicians during commissioning and testing phases.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including protection philosophies, test reports, and as-built drawings.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project alignment with local and international electrical codes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field. PE or CEng certification is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in HV/MV protection systems, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (e.g., Section Head, Project Manager).
- Proven expertise in protection relay configuration (e.g., SEL, ABB, Siemens) and substation automation (IEC 61850).
- Proficiency in protection system software (ETAP, PSCAD, DigSILENT) and fault analysis tools.
- Strong knowledge of international standards (IEC 60255, IEEE C37.90) and Indonesian electrical regulations (PLN standards).
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex HV/MV projects on schedule.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Bali and occasionally to other regions in Indonesia.
