Responsibility
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of 33KV electrical systems and switchgear.
- Ensure compliance with local and international electrical safety standards (e.g., PUWER, LOLER, OSHA).
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on high-voltage equipment.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and optimize electrical system performance.
- Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, including logs, reports, and schematics.
- Lead emergency response efforts for electrical faults, outages, or hazards.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on high-voltage safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement system upgrades or modifications.
Qualifications
- Certified Electrical Chargeman (33KV) with valid license (e.g., SKEM or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in high-voltage electrical systems, preferably in industrial or plant environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices (e.g., NEC, IEC, or local regulations).
- Proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with protective relay systems, transformers, and substation operations.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment (e.g., megohmmeters, insulation testers).
- Strong communication skills in English; ability to work in multicultural teams.
