Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the mechanical maintenance team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for mobile equipment, including excavators, haul trucks, loaders, and support vehicles.
- Oversee the diagnosis, repair, and servicing of heavy machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, and inventory of spare parts to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify maintenance needs, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental health and safety (EHS) standards.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as equipment availability, mean time between failures (MTBF), and maintenance costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field. Diploma with extensive experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mobile equipment maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role in mining, construction, or heavy industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, and heavy-duty machinery.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and maintenance planning software.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or similar is a plus.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian is advantageous.
