Responsibility
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and carriers to secure bookings and manage cargo movement.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays or issues to ensure on-time delivery.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.
- Liaise with customs brokers to facilitate smooth clearance and compliance with regulations.
- Negotiate freight rates and contracts with vendors to optimize cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and performance metrics.
- Provide regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders on shipment status.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and reduce transit times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sea freight operations or logistics coordination.
- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Problem-solving mindset with a keen attention to detail.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
