In this role, you will provide first aid, emergency care, and health education to students, staff, and the school community. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and external healthcare providers to promote a healthy school environment and support students with chronic health conditions. Responsibility
- Provide first aid, emergency care, and health assessments to students and staff as needed.
- Develop and implement health policies, procedures, and emergency response plans in collaboration with school leadership.
- Conduct regular health screenings, including vision, hearing, and growth monitoring, and maintain accurate health records.
- Administer medications and manage chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies) in accordance with school policies.
- Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and mental well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate health education into the school curriculum.
- Coordinate with external healthcare providers, hospitals, and clinics for referrals and follow-up care.
- Promote a safe and healthy school environment by monitoring and addressing health and safety concerns.
- Participate in school events, health fairs, and wellness initiatives to foster a culture of health and well-being.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
- Valid nursing license and registration in Indonesia (or ability to obtain one).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in pediatric, school, or community nursing.
- Experience working in an international school or multicultural environment is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of child and adolescent health, first aid, and emergency care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
- Proficient in English; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia) are a plus.
- Compassionate, patient, and proactive with a strong commitment to student well-being.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in educational settings.
