Responsibility
- Develop and manage sample production timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
- Create and maintain detailed tech packs for new product development, including specifications, materials, and construction details.
- Collaborate with design, sourcing, and production teams to align samples with brand standards and cost targets.
- Source and evaluate fabrics, trims, and accessories to meet quality and budget requirements.
- Conduct fit sessions and provide feedback to factories for sample adjustments.
- Track sample development progress and resolve any delays or issues proactively.
- Maintain organized records of sample versions, revisions, and approvals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to recommend improvements in materials or processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Textile Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sample development, tech pack creation, or merchandising within the fashion/apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and other design/merchandising software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality and consistency.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with sustainable and ethical sourcing practices is a plus.
