As the bridge between our engineering teams and high-value clients, youâll spearhead sales strategies for HVAC controls, building automation systems (BAS), and IoT-enabled cooling technologies. Responsibility
- Develop and execute sales strategies for HVAC controls and building automation systems in the data center vertical, targeting hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise clients across Southeast Asia.
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting and needs analysis to solution design, proposal development, and contract negotiation, ensuring alignment with client requirements and Johnson Controlsâ technical capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing teams to create compelling value propositions for AI-driven cooling solutions, energy management systems, and IoT-enabled controls.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including data center operators, facility managers, and C-level executives, to drive long-term partnerships.
- Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase the benefits of Johnson Controlsâ OpenBlue platform, including energy savings, predictive maintenance, and sustainability features.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in data center cooling to identify new business opportunities and refine sales approaches.
- Achieve and exceed quarterly/annual sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Provide post-sales support to ensure smooth implementation, customer training, and ongoing account growth.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (5+ years) in B2B sales, preferably in HVAC controls, building automation, or data center infrastructure, with a track record of closing high-value deals.
- Technical understanding of HVAC systems, controls engineering, IoT, or energy management solutions; familiarity with data center cooling technologies is a strong plus.
- Bachelorâs degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls), Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a focus on delivering win-win outcomes for clients and Johnson Controls.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement platforms to track opportunities and forecast revenue.
- Willingness to travel regionally (up to 30%) to meet clients and attend industry events.
