Responsibility
- Provide technical consultation to customers on metal cutting tool selection, application, and optimization for specific machining needs.
- Develop and deliver customized proposals, including cost-benefit analyses, tooling recommendations, and performance benchmarks.
- Conduct on-site or virtual demonstrations of cutting tools, showcasing their efficiency, durability, and precision.
- Collaborate with R&D and product teams to gather market feedback and identify opportunities for new tool developments.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with key decision-makers in aerospace, automotive, and industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies in metal cutting and machining.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and training materials for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support the sales team in negotiating contracts and closing deals by addressing technical objections and providing data-driven solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, application engineering, or technical support within the metal cutting tools or machining industry.
- Deep understanding of metal cutting processes (e.g., turning, milling, drilling) and tool materials (e.g., carbide, HSS, ceramic).
- Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and machining parameters.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are a plus.
- Willingness to travel regionally or internationally as required (up to 30%).
