Responsibility
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local and international safety standards.
- Develop, implement, and update safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide safety training and inductions for new and existing employees to promote a safety-first culture.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
- Ensure the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment on-site.
- Stay updated with the latest safety regulations, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve safety standards.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid Green Book certification for Safety Officers.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety management within the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate safety risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage with employees at all levels.
- Proficient in conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with safety management software and tools is a plus.
