Responsibility
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) standards.
- Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents, and prepare detailed reports with corrective action plans.
- Organize and lead safety training programs, toolbox talks, and emergency drills for all staff and contractors.
- Ensure all safety equipment (PPE, fire extinguishers, etc.) is available, functional, and properly maintained.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety protocols into daily operations and project planning.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions for audits and compliance.
- Stay updated on the latest safety regulations, industry best practices, and technological advancements in workplace safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international occupational safety regulations (e.g., Indonesian Ministry of Manpower standards).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train, advise, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in preparing safety reports, documentation, and presentations.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with construction site operations, equipment, and common hazards.
