Responsibility
- Operate, program, and configure robotic systems for marine shipyard applications, including welding, cutting, and material handling.
- Perform routine setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of robotic equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Monitor robotic operations in real-time, identifying and resolving technical issues to maintain production efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement upgrades, modifications, or repairs to robotic systems.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and industry standards to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on robotic machinery to extend equipment lifespan and reliability.
- Document operational procedures, maintenance logs, and incident reports for compliance and continuous improvement.
- Train and mentor junior operators or technicians on robotic system operations and best practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Robotic Operator, Technician, or Automation Specialist, preferably in a marine, industrial, or manufacturing setting.
- Hands-on experience with robotic programming languages (e.g., KUKA, ABB, FANUC, or similar platforms).
- Strong understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and industrial automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals for robotic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
- Certification in robotics, automation, or industrial safety (e.g., OSHA, ISO) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
