Responsibility
- Greet and assist walk-in customers with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Provide expert advice on building materials, including cement, paint, tiles, and hardware, to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
- Process sales transactions efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system, including handling cash, credit card payments, and digital transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment to enhance customer satisfaction and product accessibility.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock products as needed, and report any discrepancies or low-stock items to the store manager.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets through upselling and cross-selling techniques.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally, ensuring resolutions that align with company policies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and promotions to provide accurate and relevant information to customers.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail sales, preferably in building materials, hardware, or home improvement sectors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
- Basic knowledge of building materials, construction tools, or related products is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, or other local dialects) are highly advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating discounts or promotions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
