Responsibility
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
- Handle various payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments, ensuring correct change and transaction completion.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering inquiries, and resolving minor issues with a positive attitude.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area at all times.
- Assist customers with bagging their groceries and merchandise as needed.
- Accurately balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Promote store loyalty programs, special offers, and current promotions to customers.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, security, and customer service.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM/High School qualification.
- Proven experience as a Cashier or in a customer service role within a retail environment is a plus, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong basic mathematical skills and the ability to perform accurate calculations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic retail setting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong sense of responsibility.
- Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage.
