Responsibility
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems, including cash, credit, and digital payments.
- Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly, professional demeanor, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Balance the cash register at the start and end of each shift, ensuring financial accuracy and reporting discrepancies.
- Assist in inventory management by scanning items, verifying prices, and handling returns or exchanges efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing checkout area to enhance the customer experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours and special promotions.
- Upsell products and promote ongoing sales or loyalty programs when appropriate.
- Adhere to company policies, including security protocols for handling cash and sensitive customer information.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cashier or in a customer-facing retail role (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Proficiency in operating POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Strong numerical and cash-handling skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail or hospitality training is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
- Demonstrated integrity and reliability in handling financial transactions and customer data.
